Bookends: Buying Guide
Bookends are commonly quoted by the pair, but some listings count individual pieces. Base depth, surface pads and the design of the upright affect their suitability for different shelves.
Information to Request
| Item to record | Your requirement |
|---|---|
| Height and base depth | Record the specification in your inquiry. |
| Pair or single-unit count | Record the specification in your inquiry. |
| Protective pads | Record the specification in your inquiry. |
Sample Review
Inspect the sample base for sharp edges and check that pads are securely attached. Compare the two pieces in a pair for matching height and finish.
Preparing the Order
Use pairs as the order unit when that is how the product will be sold. Request protective packing to keep painted surfaces from rubbing in transit.
Retail Display Notes
Show both pieces of a pair together. Avoid adding load-capacity claims unless the supplier provides an applicable specification.

- Identify the exact bookends listing and selected version.
